Chess Day at Nationwide Arena

Every purchase includes a ticket to the afternoon Blue Jackets game vs the NY Rangers at 7pm! A ticket MUST be purchased to attend the Chess Day Event at 12:00pm.

The Nationwide Chess Day Event includes a Lecture from National Master - Alan Casden of the CCL Chess School, the chance to participate in our Scholastic Blitz Competition or Simultaneous Exhibition, Learn-To-Play & Free Play spaces, as well as the opportunity to learn more about our local Chess Organizations!

1:30 – 3:30 PM         Scholastic Blitz Tournament (Both Rated and Nonrated Sections)

1:30 – 3:30 PM         Simultaneous Competition w/ Alan Casden

2:00 – 4:00 PM         Free-Play/Learn-To-Play + Get-To-Know Our Chess Community

4:15 PM                    Closing & Groups Exit

4:30 – 6:00 PM        Free Time in Arena District

6:00 PM                    Nationwide Arena Doors Open To General Public

7:00 PM                    Puck Drop, CBJ vs NY Rangers
