Midwest Open Team Chess Festival

March 18-19, 2023

Tournament Details: 5SS, All Rounds: G90; inc 10. Four players per team plus one alternate. Switches limited to 50 rating points. Team (March) ratings for pairings determined by average of highest four ratings with imputed ratings for players rated more than 400 points below team average. Bring your own sets and clocks.

Registration: Pay online, onsite, or by mail to Columbus Chess Academy c/o Kathy Lin 654 Binns Blvd, Columbus OH 43204. On-site registration (Team ONLY) from 9 AM – 9:30 AM on March 18th.

Entry Fee: $200 per team online or by mail by March 11. After March 11: $250.

Individuals: Individuals may register and organizer will put you on a team if possible. Individuals requesting a team by March 11: $50. After March 11: $60. No individual registrations on-site. Individuals registering will not be charged until a team is found. Organizer will send an invoice and team information after a team is found.

Round times: Saturday 10 AM, 2 PM, 6 PM; Sunday 10 AM, 2 PM

Prizes (based on 20 teams): 1st - $1000, 2nd - $800, U2000 - $600, U1800 - $500, U1600 - $400, U1400 - $300 Top Boards 1 - 4: $50
