SUNDAY QUADS

Location: Donatos on Campus: 2084 N High St, Columbus, OH 43201. We will play in the basement. Free street parking on Sundays. NOTE: There is no elevator, so email Kathy if you think this will be a problem and we may find an alternate solution for you.

• Quads will be played on the following Sundays: 9/21, 10/12, 11/9, 11/23, 12/14

• Eligibility: Players must have a current US Chess Federation membership. Quads will be made based on that month's rating supplement. US Chess rated only.

   

• Format: 3 Rounds, Round-Robin. G30;d5 (dual-rated). Every effort will be made to put players into groups of 4 based on rating. Sometimes the lowest quads end up with 5-6 players. If players are in a group of 5 or 6, those groups will be paired using a Swiss (still only 3 rounds). 

   

• On-Site Registration Only: $20 (cash/Zelle preferred)

   

• Prizes: 1st Place wins $50

   

• Registration: 11 AM - 11:45 AM. No entries after 11:45 AM

   

• Pairings: 11:50 AM

   

• Quads start as soon as pairings are done. Quads may start the next round right after all rounds finish, but players are allowed a 10 minute break after each round finishes.

  
  

• We provide the sets; players, please bring your own clocks. Players must use the scoresheets provided; no electronic scoresheets allowed.
